Artist Statement - "EGO DEATH (They Hated Jesus)"
This digital drawing explores a sacred moment of surrender; the death of ego and the birth of self-acceptance. The fragmented body represents the many identities, wounds, and contradictions I’ve carried, while the prayer posture reflects a return to stillness and truth. The “blindfold” label EGO DEATH symbolizes the release of perception shaped by fear, pride, and survival. The piece is not about losing oneself, but shedding what was never truly ours (dying to the flesh daily), making space for healing, wholeness, and alignment. Here’s to letting go and finally coming home to the self.
